A guy on Facebook C-150/C-152 Lounge said he took one of these -- Rami AV-525 VOR antenna ($270)-- and fabricated a mount and mounted it on a C-150.

This is actually designed for a Piper, and the shape and mount are completely different than the Cessna design with the plastic block, antenna elements, and connecting coax/hardware.
He says it's TSO, and legal, and he got it blessed by the FAA.
He says it works great. I have no doubt that a new antenna, with new balun, and new coax with new connectors, would work better than a clunky 55 year-old corroded Cessna VOR antenna.
Just FYI. I am sticking with the original design and parts.
