The following is PP advise, not AP/IA, which is whom I would be asking since it will be their signature in the books.

Check out the PDF I linked above. This is acceptable under owner produced because you would be satisfying the criteria by: "The owner provides the manufacture with design or performance data." The design are how you are having it cut so you have participated. In order to conform to the design as approved it needs to be of the same material as well. This could be specifying the type and thickness of aluminum.

I'll second the above ... this price is actually not to bad - I will probably be consulting with my mechanic to use the parts here in Canada too - saving this link for sure! Let us all know how the project progresses!
