Your best bet may be to find a local machine shop that has CNC capabilities. Back in 2018, when I redid my panels, a local fellow on my field had a CNC plasma cutter. I gave him a rough draft of what I needed and he cut a "draft" out of cheap thin metal. Once adjustments were made, he cut a final panel.

If engine mount is bent then a prop strike is a possibility. Original cylinders? or replaced at some point. Type of barrel, chrome, steel or nitride. Yes lots of variables. Checking salvage yard websites might give you a ballpark number. Alan

Hey everyone, I'm looking to buy a 150. I prefer a "G" model or later. I can do cosmetic upgrades if necessary ( seats, carpets, plastic, avionics, etc.) but I want good bones. I would prefer under 800 SMOH, little or no damage history, complete logs, and NO corrosion... to include spar carry thru and gear box. I do have a very nice J-3 that could be factored into a trade. I'm just getting too old to hand prop. I can also just pay cash. I am just south of Atlanta at Peachstate airport. My first choice would be one with the flat spring gear. I would also consider a 152 if you know of one that's not priced to the moon...

Ace Hardwares that have all those drawers of fasteners. The last row is usually odd ball stuff including threaded knobs. I swear that's where the Cessna buyer got them - same for the knobs on the seat tilt adjust...

I am looking for a cover for my 24 Volt sealed Concord battery for my 1980 152.
If you happen to have an old battery laying around and you don't need the top I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider parting with it.

Ron my guess is that is going to be pretty hard to find. Anyone who has an original thats still in one piece or 2-3 for that matter owns a 150L that has had lots of love and will never give the part away or sell it.

The real truth however is the originals were made of plastic of the day back in 1972-73 ish and after this many years has turned to small bits or dust. The PMA replacements form Vantage (and others) are made from a superior plastic that will last a little longer.
