Welcome James! I just bought my first airplane last month. It's a great feeling to be able to fly whenever you want. This club has been great and everyone is extremely friendly. I have already learned so much.

I have a similar but slightly different story. I solo'd when I was 16 and flew about 20 hours during that time. Two decades later I got another 20 hours but still hadn't finished. Fast forward another decade to October 2015. I started flying in earnest and put in all the time needed and finished up my PPL October 2016. Two months later I bought a plane.

(disclaimer: I flew helicopters a lot during those decades, just not any airplanes)
