Bill - contrats on the sale of your 150 though I know your sorry to see it go.
I too am shopping the LSA market right now. I think I saw a picture on the Just Aircraft web site and the luggage compartment on Highlander was pretty impressive - might be suitable for what you have in mind.
I'm probably down to a Kitfox or a Zenith 650. The Kitfox baggage area is, sorry to say - very small. I got to fly a SS7 with the Rotax and it was a superfun airplane to fly - enormous visibility - you can almost see straight down the way the doors are made.
Am going to travel to look at several 650's - hopefully in the next month.

PS: Am just about settled on the Corvair engine with the 5th bearing mod.
