I look forward to see what you get for a replacement...if money wasn't an issue, I'd suggest the Valor V22 (I think thats what you call it up there) down here its called a Foxbat A22 Click Here [foxbat.com.au] A fine aircraft for up you way too, great performance, (thought the dog might be an issue)

Enjoy

Brand new one on amphibious floats for sale at my home airport. Flight school has another one that they are using for LSA training/rental along with two Gobosh. GOBOSH [gobosh.aero]

Of the two, the Gobosh is proving to be the more popular model, nice little hotrod.

The Valor is a nice little ship and has some interesting performance parameters but it is very limited, can only operate in light winds and I've not been impressed with its construction. Very lightly constructed with Thin aluminum and plastic held together with pop rivets. It will be interesting to see how it holds up. I guess I expect more from a $100,000.00 purchase.

The Valor does have Great visibility, and awesome slow speed handling - short field and soft field capabilities. The pilots do seem to really enjoy flying it.
