Bryan, that is a good argument and I understand how you and your friend talk. I do the same. Your phone calls are interesting to you, but mostly not of much interest to anyone else. And, mostly, we have no idea what you are talking about. That is what the PM feature is for, I think.
You know, second thought... this is a group consisting of (I am guessing) a thousand members. Most of them look, but don't talk (don't believe this, look at the members. You haven't heard of most.). Many of us talk, but aren't in the groove. There are about 15-20 who have "phone call" status and interject into threads very strange stuff that is pretty much not interpretable. The other 980 of us look and think "what in the hell is this?" I think most people who subscribe are interested in better flying, improving their c150, and trying to solve problems and sticking to it. "Cup of Joe" is the place for the rest of the venting.
I am just responding as a member who looks from the outside. I haven't been to Cllinton for the "man burning" yet, but I hope to this year. I can't wait to get in the groove.
Perhaps "professionalism" is a term we might want to investigate.
