Also, that Subaru engine dropped a valve in '98 and the plane nosed over during the subsequent emergency landing in a soft field.
And 1500 lbs empty? You couldn't even fill the tanks and be legal!
It certainly sounds neat, and I like the Eggenfellner Subaru engine conversions that are built for the Van's RV aircraft. But I think this particular airplane has too many compromises and limitations.
