Let's play nice guys. He might be reading this board. Yes, out of the market(for the experienced), but don't forget that some folks don't have to sell, so they start really high in hopes of snaggin a big payoff.
More importantly, however to me is that there is no reference to LR tanks which for that kind of money I would expect to see LR tanks, GPS/Comm in the panel, STOL and VG's with new paint and interior. THEN.....might be someone wanting one bad enough.
Jeff, It's good for me that the guy I bought from moved on his price. Truth is, I knew what I wanted and I would have been willing to pay more to get it. I was very "plane specific" when I started my search(never good).Once I educated myself(on this forem), I started to justifiy (in my mind)why would i pay this much for a cessna 150.
1. You can't buy this performance in the expermental market for less than 60k or more (i.e. glastar or symphony)the other 2 seat high wingers are in a different class in my opinion.
2.I've had alot of expermentals, theres no two that fly alike. the 150/150 is a known .
3.Easier to resale when the time comes (at the a good price).
4.certification, to some thats not important, it was to me for the known factor.
Their were other things I used to justifiy my purchase but the biggest reason ,"Ain't nothing looks that good with it's tail dragging , but a 150 swept tail".
