thanks fred for the advice. I will definitely make a call to quit at Spencer avionics. I think what ed said is right I think I was receiving and radiating off the coax antenna cable not the antenna. In the meantime I think I will just fly when the weather is severe clear.
I was noticing a static feedback with the radio on.
Oh my gosh there's just so much to do on this plane. it's not very gorgeous but it's mine. at least one thing looking at the age of the interior will scare most people away from stepping foot in it.
