I found Wilbur in Cleveland Ohio. The owner agreed to meet me halfway so my mechanic and I flew up one morning, spent a few hours with the airplane and flew back that evening. If I remember correctly, he charged me about $300. So, along with the fuel that I spent, it was a pretty cost-effective way of evaluating the airplane.

Although I would have liked to have purchased him for a lower price, I figured that each time I go look at an airplane I'll spend hundreds or more doing it. It can really add up. The most important thing is to get a good airplane. I figured that the price of the airplane down the road wouldn't matter to me that much.
