There was another place on the other side horz. stab.leading edge and under that was more plainly related to the painting rather that corrosion. Definitely an over-paint rather that the full-monty job Brian showed.

In the background is the 150 on which I have been working off the annual squawks. The owner-friend is also a student pilot and new to ownership. I got him to join the club & forums, but he is a bit shy and has yet to introduce himself here (despite my continued brow-beating
