With a closer walkaround, nothing jumps out as questionable. The ugly spots are not a show stopper and may be more about the paint prep, actually. Would need to chip away at it to see for sure if there is corrosion there.

The small bubble here on the aft lap seam are more likely to be corrosion related.

A peek inside the oil door showed it to be clean, with a painted firewall and inside surface of the cowling.

If you are OK with the lack of logs before the 2004 date mentioned, looks good for further investigation.
