Bacon Strip is a private airstrip (a dirt road) in the Mojave Desert, about 25 miles from Barstow. It recently changed ownership. The new owner will purportedly continue to allow planes to fly in and they have an annual fly-in around October timeframe. This (somewhat low resolution) photo was taken there years ago. I wish I could find the original hi-rez. Getting back to the subject of selling my airplane, I have one guy in Southern Illinois interested, and another local guy (San Jose, CA) coming over on Sunday to check it out.
