Hey there everybody! I hope I parked this thread where it should be.
Due to family health issues, I had to let my 1972 C-150L sit for too long (7 years in hanger). "Life" got in the way. Well, the other day my AI found pitting on the crank shaft. Long story short, the shaft will need to be overhauled. Being that it will also need new mag kit, wheels, possibility of one jug overhaul, and a paint job....the total estimate goes beyond the actual market value of the plane. Plus I am needing to upgrade to a 4-place at some point.
I will have to say goodbye to "Tripple Two" forever in most likelihood. How that will be done is still up in the air. I might sell it "as-is where-is". I would like to get as much for the plane as I can to help with upgrading to a C-172.
For a non-A&P, like myself, to "part-out" might be more hassle than worth. What type of paperwork is required for each individual thing, like radios, flight instruments, seats, wheel pants, etc?
