You know how do you ask the seller if the title has no liens, all 337s and ADs complied with.....without offending the seller.
When I buy an airplane, I punch in the tail number at
www.faa.gov [
faa.gov] and then pay ten bucks to get a CD with all of the airworthiness and registration paperwork that's been filed.
When I sell an airplane, I do the same thing and put the pdfs in a dropbox for potential owners to look through.
From what I can tell, all title search companies do is look through the registration file from the FAA to look for any outstanding liens. If you have the pdf, you can do it yourself.
