Usually if you've paid sales tax to another state you don't have to pay again ...

Bought my plane in Mass.. Paid 5% Mass. sales tax.
Registered it in RI because I was keeping it there and had to
pay another 2% sales tax because RI has a 7% tax.
This is virtually universal. If you live in a place with say, 10% sales tax and bought in a place with and paid an lesser sales tax, say, 5%, they you would owe the home boys an additional 5% in this case.
By the same token, if you lived where the sales tax was 5% and bought where it was, and you paid, 10%, then you owe the home folks nothing, you have paid more than their tax already... just be ready to prove it.
