I've flown many hours without insurance.
Same here! I had few assets to loose by being sued, and I don't like betting against myself (that is after all, what insurance is.) I've saved enough money on various kinds of "insurance" over the years to buy several cars and planes! People drive $30,000 cars with minimal insurance (some only because the law requires it), and then insure a $15,000 Cessna to the max? Go figure!
(But then again, if your
driving record ain't that good, maybe plenty of aviation liability insurance is a GOOD thing!)
