Shelby just wrote me. He'll re-uphoster, but he also offered to just repair the seat back if I didn't want to go with a full re-upholstry at this time.
That was a really nice offer.
Since my seat upholstry is not that bad, I'm going to take him up on the repair offer. That way, I can send him the one seat back, still have a good pilot seat to use, and my plane will not be out of commission. Plus I save money. The thought of spending $1,500 for new leather upholstry -- while tempting -- is not something I want to contemplate right now, especially if I don't really need to. Some day, yes, but not now...
