My plan is to placard for a while, then see who has the best kit.
I also figure that my mechanic might become more proficient after doing a few, and do mine cheaper.
At this early date, almost no cessna has the fix. The AD must be complied with by June 2010. After that date I might not consider a plane that is not in compliance. I guess it would depend on the owner's story and whether I believed him.
Ultimately no, but when comparing two prospective airplanes, the installation of little things like the rudder AD kit might lead me to believe the aircraft owner was more thorough about things. If the owner is "picky" enough to want to avoid the placard then they might have been picky about more important things.
