I have sold a couple of pretty expensive cars after being listed on eBay. Neither car finished the auction; I got offers above my reserve and pulled them for direct sale. I think that eBay is one of the most effective and cost effective advertising media available at less than $50 for a listing. (I got calls from all over the USA and some foreign countries.) That may be what the guy is doing with his airlpane, just advertising.
