I hear you Brian, but what I mean is you can do it right and make it a good airplane, or try to save here and there by buying a used engine, have it painted in a car garage, buy a 75$ old ARC radio on ebay, find used plastic interior panel from wenthworth aircraft, put used tire and fly it trough a crazed windshield seating on very tired upholstery...
It's all about the mission, and/or the intention...And Gary didn't mention wether he intend to keep it or try to make couple of $ trough this project.
