Do a search on tie downs and you will see a lot of variations. I made some with chain. 3 lengths connected with a quick link. My rods are 18 inch pieces of 3/8 steel. I threaded one end and used lock nuts and washers for the stop and sharpened the other end. 3 sets, an extra rod, hammer, ropes and bag weigh 11 pounds. Look at the EAA site also for more ideas.
