Okay gang, maybe it's time to open our minds and reconsider things?
How about: The Cessna 150-152-162 Club
After all.....she is a sibling, coming from the same parents. They left the wings where they belong which proves we came from the same gene pool. Can you imagine any resentment when the 150 became the 152 or when the straight tail changed to the slant tail? There should be none for the 162, she's just different. Unless they are identical twins, all siblings are different in some regard.
If the 162 is put to good use in flight schools it's just a matter of a few short years before individuals like us will be buying them from the flight schools for personal ownership.
A simple look at history will suffice if you're a non believer.
My personal belief is there is no downside to this. This is all positive and our sister will fit right in with us...this is her rightful home. She's not a bastard nor even a stepchild, she's simply a new sibling.
It's a known fact that the population pool of our beloved 150-152's shrinks every WEEK for one reason or another and no new ones are replacing this shrinking pool. This alone should be a red flag.
Personally, I find this very refreshing. For Cessna to throw it's full support and weight behind this effort is a good sign.
Okay, I'm an easy target now so let the dart throwing begin, all I ask is that you don't poision the tip.
Your thoughts????
