My name is Corey Fisher and I'm a new member. If your curious I'm currently living in Ardmore, OK (between OKC and Dallas/Fort Worth) and will be based out of (1F0).
I don't have my PPL yet, and can't start until I find a plane. Yes I could rent one, but I want my own. Besides my choices around here are extremely limited and don't fit my training schedule.
Now knowing I'm not a pilot you'd be correct in assuming I've never bought a plane before either. I don't have a clue and must confess I'm a little concerned about the process. I've bought books, I've joined clubs etc. With all that, I'm more confused than ever. So I'm hoping I could call on your experience when I have questions.
Now I don't want to waste anyone's time, so does some remember previous posts detailing the buying process. I'm sure its been discuss time and time again, but a quick search with the keyword "buying" really doesn't pull up much history. Maybe someone can come up with better keywords.
Now for some plane questions.
Trade A Plane [
trade-a-plane.com] has this aircraft listed. Does anyone know anything about his aircraft? Does anyone know anything about the seller? I don't think his is a memeber of this club. FAA lookups don't show any red flags. No, I haven't contacted the seller. I'm just looking for any comments before doing so.
