It will be a first time to OSH for us, so we could use some advice on what days are best to arrive. We won’t have a hotel there. I don’t think my back will be happy in a tent for more than two nights.
This will be my 6th time I think.
Most important thing is read the NOTAM. Then read it again. Study it some more. Rubber necking during the Fisk arrival is a must. Two people actually make it safer than one IMO. Make sure you understand the altitudes and turn points for all of the four arrival runways. Know the ATC frequencies. Remember that 90 knots and 1,800 feet mean just that. Don't expect 1,700' or 1,900' or 85 or 95 knots to work. ATC is not shy about telling wayward pilots to go back to the the starting point and begin again.
Here's a good video explaining what NOT to do.

So, do you know within 10 RPM what engine RPM in YOUR plane equals 90 knots at 1,800' ?
