I believe that the Hilton and the Casino may offer a special deal. In my experience, it wasn't all that much and frequently the front desk staff weren't even aware of a discount. Hotel prices aren't that bad in Clinton. (especially compared to hotels in the Massachusetts area) All the hotels that we recommend are decent. Some a little pricier than others, some with a few more amenities than others. None are horrific. Best to make your reservations early. Most hotels allow you to cancel without penalty almost to the day of check in. You can find a list of the hotels on the Cessna 150-152 Fly In website, I believe. If it's not on there, send Mark Buchner a PM and he'll provide you with the list. For most folks, the hotel is just a place to sleep/shower. All the action and food is at the airport.

After our annual face to face meeting next week, the Board of Directors and Officers will really kick into high gear as far as exact planning for Clinton is concerned. We'll have more information on speakers and seminars, hotel and car discounts, and a lot of other information specific to the Fly-In.

We have those screw in dog tie out things but it is recommended that you bring your own stakes and ropes.
The dog screw things have been known to break.

The correct answer is: YES

Keep in mind there is always the possibility of strong thunderstorms at Clinton. Ensure your tie down device is up to the task of securing your airplane.

For any first time attendees to Clinton. ALL attendee planes are parked in the grass. It is best to bring a set of tie downs and ropes that you know that you can trust. I use "The Claw" and found it to be very dependable. There are a bunch of other systems, including homemade, that work very well in Clinton. Hung will be along in a few minutes with a picture of his system!

As Ron mentioned, if you forget your tie downs, we can help you out.

Hey guys, one other question.
Is there any hanger space available to park your aircraft?

Mark, there isn't any hangar space available. They use our Main hangar for their seminars and meals. All of our T hangars our occupied as well.

I will be making a few of the chain tiedown kits for Clinton. I gave my last set to my son so I’ll be making another one for me. Using 5/16 chain the kit weights about 14lbs with a hammer. I used this set up in CWI from 2003-2010. Works great, IMO. Will post a picture when I make the next set
