Go to the Fly-In page. Everything you asked for is there.

Go to CLUB HOMEPAGE, the to the Fly-In page.

HI Ronald,

I'm not sure when the NOTAM will come out but HERE is info on the hotels [cessna150152club.org]in the area.
Some of us leave from Mass and RI the Thursday or Friday before the Fly In. We try and find interesting places to RON and take in the sights along the way. George Jameson will tell you, we always make an adventure out of the trip to Clinton.
We like to arrive early to help set up, take in a Base Ball game and be there for the "Early Bird Diner".
Maybe you would like to join up with us and fly as a caravan. We can meet up when you get back to Massachusetts and plan something.

Hey Ron Keating,

If you fly with Ron Stewart and I to Clinton, there WILL be rain and a LOT of fun.

Hope you can make the trip with us. If you can't, there are others that are flying from our area that you can join up with. Flying in a caravan is a lot of fun. Since you fly to Florida every year, you certainly know what a long cross country in a C-150/152 is all about.

We both camp, but there are plenty of hotels in Clinton. There is a free shuttle that will deliver and pick you up from any of the Clinton hotels. It runs from about 7:00 AM until about 9:00 PM.

For any other potential first timers to Clinton:

You don't need a car to have fun at the fly-in. We have a free shuttle van that will run you all around Clinton.
We can bring you to some of the touristy things around Clinton if you want. (American Pickers, Clinton Saw Mill Museum, etc.)
Some folks do rent cars. If you want/need a car, it's best to rent early. There is only one rental option in Clinton and that is Enterprise Car Rental.
There is a Super Walmart in Clinton. We make several runs there each day. You can get most anything that you forgot or didn't want to pack. You can also get beer and wine! Soft drinks and ice are available at the airport for nominal cost.

For early bird arrivals:

We go out for breakfast and lunch each day before the fly-in starts. Once it starts, breakfast and lunch are available at the airport. Breakfast is free, lunch is priced modestly.
We usually grab dinner at one of the local spots. On Tuesday, we usually do Mexican. (Except for Uncle Eddie)

Thanks for that George , after reading the info available,I believe I’ll probably be using the hotel. As an air force veteran and at my age it’s easier to check in with creature comforts. Any idea if any of the hotels run a special for the confab?
