The weight was more of a frustration than expected - it is significantly heavier than our old two blade and the cg shift required us to carry up to 75 lbs balast to make cg if we fill up the tanks with just two people.
We are going back to a McCauley 2 blade.
GA is so interesting.......the Bonanza is just the opposite.
The CG moves aft as the fuel burns off so having the extra weight of a 3 blade on the pointy end is quite desirable.
I went from the McCauley 2 blade to the Hartzell 3 blade when I dropped a new engine in place a number of years ago and fell in love all over again.

No loss in speed, more thrust, better climb, smoother and opinions may vary but it's sexier, too.
What's not to like (except for the price of admission)?
