Yesterday I filled out the annual Santa Clara County tax assessor value statement thing-a-ma-jig paper. At least the county can't put a high property value on the plane to tax me.
I used to pay annual property tax on my plane, about 5% ($1000 on a $20K plane). Thankfully it's tax-exempted when over 30 yrs old.

Really? Checking my local tax laws now. Unfortunately, I don't think that applies where I live. P.S. My rate isn't that high. As I recall, I pay around $300 on a "$24K" or so value plane. Last year the assessor goofed and did not bill me or possibly other plane owners. I was told not to worry about it. I verified I am not in arrears.

Well you made me go to plane plastics and look up the interior parts. I now remember why I didn't purchase this stuff new when I was working on my interior. My stuff is old and brittle but looks good. I am going to replace it in the not too distant future. I always worry about fit and finish but yours looks great !!
Yikes - no debating that diagnosis, or what's needed. Lucky for me there is nothing like that in my engine. I think Bengie can help you out with a crank? You have an otherwise very nice looking airplane, seems a shame to part it out.
