Rickloon and your wife great! Happy for you! Will be very interested in your experience with this 64D. I'm not in a super hurry to buy as I can rent a 150 now ....and the longer I wait, the more informed decision I know I will be able to make! Good luck and best wishes!

On the FAA cd I see an original release of lean from when the aircraft was purchased new an subsequently paid off. If there were any other liens wouldn't they show up on the cd or do I really need to pay for a title search? AOPA is really cheap. Call them... I think it's $35 or so... I think that's what I paid when I bought mine. They are really fast, too. I remember I called before 10 am Houston time, and before 3 pm, they got back to me and told me on the phone things were clear. It's cheap insurance. $35 isn't much to pay for peace of mind. ![[Linked Image from animatedimages.org]](https://www.animatedimages.org/data/media/218/animated-penguin-image-0137.gif) [ animatedimages.org] Imagine a united world. If you're an AOPA member, there's a $95 comprehensive package [ aerospacereports.com] (discounted $65 from non-member price of $160). | | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 25,993 Likes: 1246 Member/25,000 posts | | Member/25,000 posts Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 25,993 Likes: 1246 | I'm not in a super hurry to buy as I can rent a 150 now ....and the longer I wait, the more informed decision I know I will be able to make. "Are there any liens? Are all the ADs and SBs complied with? Are all 337s in order? Everything properly in the logbook?" If you can offend an owner by asking the important questions, how can you trust him to have everything covered in the first place? And remember, if he says NO to something, that's not necessarily a problem, if the compliance can be done. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2015 Posts: 497 Likes: 1 Member/250+posts | | Member/250+posts Joined: Sep 2015 Posts: 497 Likes: 1 | I'm not in a super hurry to buy as I can rent a 150 now ....and the longer I wait, the more informed decision I know I will be able to make. Seriously, every time I go to this site I learn something more about 150s and especially things to look out for when buying one....I'm so glad in retrospect that I didn't buy previous especially with the information I have learned....yes you very well may "luck out" when you buy but the more you know the better...Also the more you know about buying a 150 you get toknow what a bad deal is, an ok deal one you better act on right away....the latter being that beautiful 64D in Tucson. Keith thanks for the advice as well!

We plan to get a tiedown at love field till she has her private, then bring her out to the strip. RE liens , call dot az for state liens,(they don't have to be filed with the faa to be valid) & send to faa for all air craft records (this will show liens filed with feds) Rick
