Not my airplane. I drive by it getting to mine, though. Sure looks pretty as the pictures don't do it justice. Seems like a good price.

That does look nice. Only two digits away from my old 150. And it has the correct wheel pants for that year.

Thanks Kendel for posting this! By golly right in my backyard...Tucson vs Peoria! You're right she does look like a beauty!

Boy I'm scared as all the folks in this club say don't fall in love with another man's plane as Poobs warns! And I get that, BUT it reminds me of the 65E Tony up in Rochester sold a few months ago and she even has wheel pants and correct ones (that I don't know but I'm sure Kirk does!)!

It's neat the way planes pop up like this....with 500 SMOH it seems and current annual, it seems like a great deal grin

Thanks for the info! Yes that 152 is a BEAUTY! But she is way out of my budget!

The 64D in Tucson scares me (funny a 150 scaring you) because she looks like a beauty in the photo and Kendel confirms she looks better than the photo, AND what scares me is I do have some investments that I could use to buy it cash.....scary ...never owned a plane before....and the other big deal is I need to get a current medical...so I better make sure I'm even able to fly it....sure would be nice if 150s were in the LSA class.

You know how do you ask the seller if the title has no liens, all 337s and ADs complied with.....without offending the seller....also it seems like it has a really fair price if there is nothing wrong with it so is it wise to offer less? I know Tony's 65E last offer of sale was $15,000 but I don't know actually what it sold for

You know you got it bad when you take the picture of it and make it your desktop background!

She seems like a deal that won't last very long....however I've been told by 150 club members with a lot more experience than me that there are a lot of good (and bad) 150s in the $15-18K range....and that's what I could afford.

Airplane ownership can be scary for first-timer. But most of us here had been there at one time. You know you can count on us for advices and assurance.

No seller should be offended with these questions - this is standard stuff. Of course there is nothing to prevent a seller from lying, but he certainly shouldn't be offended.

Buying a plane can for sure be scary - it is a big financial commitment (forever!). But it seems you have come this far and really want to jump in, so why not go for it. It costs nothing to look at something right in your back yard, but at the same time don't waste the sellers time - no one appreciates tire kickers.

In your case it sounds like you could pull the trigger financially, but the medical might be a show stopper. You are best to get "pre-approved" by getting you medical so know if you can be in or out once and for all. Then you know you can make the offer should the right one pop up.

And remember that spending a little more on the front end may save a LOT later trying to upgrade things that are done already on the more expensive plane. It is much cheaper to buy the upgraded airplane.

A title search will disclose any liens. As Ron 20 said, AOPA offers Title searches and there are other title search companies out there too.
Don't let the initial report of a lien scare you away. Lots of times it is just a paperwork issue and can be cleared up.
In the last couple months I have seen this type of thing in three sales.

As far as 337s and ADs, just have a knowledgeable A&P read the logs.
If something is missing from the books then the seller probably won't disclose the info even if asked.
