Anyone know where I can obtain a spinner and both backing plates for a 69J?
Trying to save a few $$$ if possible
Thanks,
Joanne

The one thing I agree with Bill on! That spinner is the best.

Joanne, the skull cap spinner replaces everything your current spinner has. No more metal bulkhead behind the prop that the spinner mounts to, no more plastic bulkhead in front of the prop to support the spinner. Both of those crack often. For my old spinner, one or the other would crack every 100 hours or so, and that got expensive. The skull cap spinner only has a bracket that uses the prop bolts for mounting, and a screw that holds the skull cap in place. 400 hours later, no more cracking and replacing parts, and it looks better, too!

Sorry Joanne,
I'll have to disagree with the 'skullcap' version.

To me, the plane just doesn't look right without the factory spinner, unless you have a straight tail model, which you don't. The 'skullcap', on anything newer than the straight-tails, just doesn't have to look it was intended to have when it was born.

Then again, it's just one opinion and you know the old saying on that subject... shocked

Good luck on your search.

Try http://www.av-parts.com/. The guy at Aircraft Spruce told me they have a stack of them. I need to replace the spiner on my "M" model as well.

I think I've got what I need. J&C, Oklahoma has the parts and is giving me a BIG discount too, thanks to CFA!
I'm going to have Kevin, AP call him in the am just to be certain I have the correct parts, but it looks good.
Yea!
