Does anyone which key blank is used to make a spare door/ignition key for a 1980 152? I had one made a few years ago at an Ace Hardware store. That store is now closed, and none of the local hardware store could find a suitable blank to use. Do I need to go to a locksmith? The key that I have now has "ACS216" marked on it. No Cessna name/logo.
I was a afraid of that. Well, what worked for me was the local Home Depot. I wonder if my '76 uses a different key-blank than a 152? I had a spare set made when I bought the plane. I DO remember the guy saying he couldn't match it but he found one that worked.

Hung call a lock smith, he will have the key blank. I had to have a lock smith come out to the 182 I flew and make a key for the door since it would not lock it. he made me 4 copies and it cost me 40.00, it took him awhile to get the cuts right.

Does the photo match?

Thank you very much for the info. My key (see attached) appears to match the P6471-1-8, although the info you quoted said it is for 172, 182, 210, etc. The cut on the S2194-x key is the reverse of mine. My key works in both the ignition and the doors, so I don't think the lock was changed from the original.
