Sorry to be so long winded but I hope some of these leads will help you out. In talking with these folks, it appears that this corrison is a common problem on the spring gears. Some are worst than others but they all said their gears are subject to your inspection and that you could return them if you were not completely satisfied. These are also in "as removed condition" with no traceability provided.
