Have YOUR mechanic do a good pre-purchase inspection. Check the radio and nav well. It's tough to catch everything up front before you hand over the cash. Plan on spending some money after you buy the plane to fix things to your liking.
I just recently bought a 76 150M that is similar to your plane although mine did not have a tail dragger conversion.
I'm happy with mine!
