I had hoped it would inspire you. I know what it's like to want something so badly.... and have it seem to be just out of reach. Your posts always remind me of my younger self.
There is no timetable! Take as long as you need! Spend only the time and money that you can afford! It certainly isn't the best way, but for me it was the ONLY way. I went through 5 instructors and several years of off again/on again flight training to get my PPL. I repeated training I'd already had, and had to "prove" myself to each new instructor. As I said, it wasn't cheap (not on my salary), surely wasn't "quick", but it was maybe easier than I suggest, and I loved every second in the air! The point is you can't finish until after you start. Get your physical, get a student's license, a logbook, and get started!
