Sounds like you had a great adventure with your daughter and your new plane.

I fear that for me, though, it is not going to work at least with regard to purchasing something in europe and ferrying it back to the States. As a personal matter, I would not fly any single engine airplane across the Atlantic. I think my wife appreciates my caution in this regard too. And shipping would add a cost that just doesn't make sense to me even with a good exchange rate.

When I do return to the States I will probably confine my search to the lower 48, although Alaska is tempting. I don't really have time constraints so could enjoy a leisurely trip across the continent visiting aerodromes that strike my fancy.

Whatever I do I'll make sure to let you all know since you have been so generous in offering your advice and such detailed instructions.
