172 could be under powered under certain circumstances. Also you can get 182 for darn near the price of 172. But 2 things to remember. The Prop has to inspected every 5 years and its costly (constant speed) and it uses about 12gph. but you cruise around 130, so that sure helps. Otherwise 182 is excellent plane, if I had the money I sure own that bird.
