It’s been a hard decision to make but 2673J is for sale.
90% of all my flights are cross country and it seems like every time I take off, I leave the state. Looking at my logs, 2 hours is a short flight for me. With that said, a 3 hour flight with me, my wife, and some baggage is pushing the envelope and I can feel it on climb out. For those of you that know me, I’m not your standard issue FAA pilot of 170 lbs but rather 240lbs. Need facilitates change so I’ve decided to buy a 172. I rented one from my FBO on my last flight and that should have been the plane I bought to begin with. The need to pursue my IFR rating is there and I have been stuck several places due to IFR conditions that have put me in a bind. A 172 is just a better choice for me. The reason I have my own plane is so I would never have to rent so this just doesn’t make sense. I hate like hell to let it go after everything I had done to it but it is what it is. Shelby may just have to do the same to a 172. For those of you that have seen it at Clinton you know it is pretty spectacular and one of the nicest 150”s in the country.
