Haven't been on this section of the forum for a while and I see that we have a lot of members advertising planes and other items for sale here on the forum. Although the forum is a great place to advertise, I would guess that only about 15% of our current members use the forum. Would you guys and gals be kind enough to email the ads to the Club directly so that we can include your ads in the "Classifieds" section of the website. When we have potential buyers call or email we ALWAYS send them to the Classified section of the website so you will get much more bang for your buck (figure of speech...we don't charge club members for advertising smile )if we can put them in the Classified section of the website and then they also appear in the Club Newsletters (believe it or not over 1/2 of our members do not have internet access)

Thanks...send those ads to classifieds@cessna150-152.com

Lori,
Two members, Sharon Smith and Bradlley Stein, have aicraft for sale in Buyers and Sellers. I have been looking at 150's for over a month now and they have just appeared. It would be useful for them to be in the classifieds, since that is the first place I look. This is my first year of membership and I have enjoyed the Club.

I recently purchased Mike Arman's book, Owning, Buying or Flying the Cessna 150/152, through the club store. Excellent piece of work! I am planning on Clinton next month. If I bring my checkbook along do you think I might find "the right one?"

Oh, you'll definitely find the right one! It'll only be the price which may not be correct. crazy frown

Lori,

Sorry. I use the Forum so much I completely forgot about Classifieds. I'll put the plane out there, too.

Thanks for the help.

I'm convinced every airplane in Clinton is for sale for the right amount of money. Those with "For Sale" banners or signs tend to have the most reasonable price tags. grin grin

I can imagine selling a plane is a bittersweet experience. One, I hope I don't have to endure unless I have another one in the hangar already.

Gary,
It is called sellers remorse. Every airplane I've owned I regreted the necessity of letting the bird go. The first, an Aeronca Chief, did not have an electrical system. The circumstances under which I was "propping" were less than desirable, from a safety standpoint, so it left for California. The second, a Cessna 140, simply did not have enough room for all the "stuff" my fledgling aviator grandaughter needed to accompany her on a cross country. Goodby Cessna 140,hello Cessna 172. Shortly after acquiring the 172, grandaughter discovered boys, aviation interest zeroed! A family illness, and lack of free time saw the bird go to two very good friends. I see the bird every week and that is remorse in spades! But the bird is in good hands and is greatly appreciated. Who knows, Clinton is only a few weeks off, might find the "right one" there!

Good luck to ya, George. Just a heads up, the blue and white 150/150 taildragger that has the blue paint peeling isn't for sale. It's owner is emotionally attached and will unreasonably refuse any offered sum of money. Even if it was the equivalent of a house. It's an illness, I hear. sick grin

True as that may be, the blue and white 152/108 taildragger with the white peeling paint IS for sale.

I guess this is an 'official' announcement.
