We hope!

With appologies to Royson and Lori, I did not check with them before sending this!

I just e-mailed this to Spectrum Aviation [spectrumaviation.org], a source I've used successfully in the past.

Hi, to Rex, Sherri, and all!

I need to know quantities available for multiple orders of Cessna 150 and 152 rudder stop kits.

SK152-24A

SK152-25A

While I am not a club officer, I am a licensed technician and private pilot and one of several volunteer technical advisors to www.cessna150-152club.com. [cessna150-152club.com.] We have well over 1,600 registered members in our international club forum, many of whom often ask my peers and I for recommendations on where to buy Cessna parts. I have sent many of them here to Spectrum Aviation in the past. My actions were based on discounted prices (I believe around 30% below list at the time) and quick courteous service which I personally received from Spectrum on multiple occasions. I still appreciate that!

I have noticed, however, that the discounts have vanished, and now I see that Spectrum charges considerably more than suggested list price for Cessna parts, while I can still enjoy "discounted" prices from many other Cessna dealers. I would continue to send you customers, but I need some assurance that they will at least pay no more than they would at any other source. A Cessna 150-152 Club special discount below Cessna's normal "discount" would assure my exclusive recommendation of Spectrum as a source for all Cessna parts.

Can we come to some agreement on this that would assure our mutual benefit?

By the way, I will be posting this correspondence and your response on the Cessna 150-152 Club Forum.

Thanks,
Carl Chitwood

Thanks for trying Carl! If I were a business owner, I would love to have exclusive access to the rudder stop mod business. Like the club's belly drain, its almost a guaranteed income.

If something were to be worked out with them, it would certainly add tremendously to the value of membership to the club.

I still haven't received an e-mail response from them, and when I called just now, I got the answering machine! I left a message, but I'm losing hope! frown

Currently only 4ea SK152-25A kits (later 152's) available at $57.08 ea, from Spectrum!

I replied and asked to be notified should they receive any more of either kit, or can fill orders from the factory without back-order!

I hope somebody let's us know when these last four are gone!

I've been authorized to negotiate for the Club on a more permanent Club Discount from Spectrum Aviation on all new Cessna parts! I'll report back when I have an agreement!

Carl, are they going to order the SK152-24A currently out of stock?
If so, i'm ok with a back order.
Also how do we get the price you posted? On their web site the price is $90.00

If you contact Sherri and mention the club (and maybe my e-mail), she'll probably be glad to put the kit on back-order for you at the reduced price. I don't think you're going to find a better deal anywhere, and installing the kit isn't urgent.

I haven't had a chance yet to negotiate further for a permanent club discount, but I will first chance I get.

Okay!

The plot thickens! There has been a mix-up on pricing! I received this latest e-mail from Russell, at Spectrum Aviation, today! I'm negotiating to make 10% over cost our standard Club discount on all Cessna parts bought through Spectrum. Russell has to check with Rex before he can give me a definate answer.

Bottom line is we still get a good price on the kits, but there aren't any available from Cessna (sold out). I will ask about holding back orders at the new price!

The bold type is mine for clarity!

Hey Carl,, made a little mistake when forwarding you those prices,, Sherri had got our cost and put it on an e-mail back to Spectrum and I thought she was trying to send it to you,,, anyway that is our "cost" so your cost would just be a 10% mark up making the SK152-24A $71.00 and the SK152-25A $68.00. But as you can see, we are trying to do you Club guys right on pricing,, the big problem is Cessna has no stock on either right now,, I have a call in to our rep to find out when they may be available and will advise. Sorry about the confusion and again, thanks for the inquiry. Russell at Spectrum.

Thank you Carl.

Even at $68 it's a good deal.
Now I just need to order one.
