When selling the SportHawk I advertised in several places. I got around 100 responses. (Some were even interested in buying the airplane.)

I always asked were the inquirer heard about my plane when I got phone calls and of course I could see where the email inquires came from. I didn?t keep a real good count but I can tell you that the most effective places to advertise are, in descending order:

Aircraft Shopper on Line
Trade-A-Plane (most expensive)
Barnstormer
Airshow.net
Local news paper (second most expensive)
Cessna Pilots Association
Cessna 150-152 Club
Studentpilot.com
AOPA

Just thought that you might like to know.

.....and if I remember correctly, your buyer was from the local area. Probably heard about the plane through the grapevine at the airport.

As a window shopper, just to drool on Cessna 170s for sale and such, ASO is by far the nicest.

I put a "wanted" ad in the the Canadian COPA magazine and got zero calls...until I actually bought an airplane...then I got a lot of calls.

I think it's more the season than anything else as more people are selling as the weather gets nicer.

Man o man. I have my 150 in everything I can find that is free or close to it. I have gotten very few calls and emails on it so far. Despite dropping the price.

Pretty soon I'm going to drop the price even more and start removing goodies like the Rosen visors and my long-lusted after strobes. :-(

I'm already taking a beating compared to the $$$ we've sunk into this bird!

Fred, check the club classifieds for Ohio. Pics in there. It's a 67G, 4691X.

My strobes are the Whelens with a single power supply (that will have to stay to drive the tail beacon). I mounted them in new Metco Air Hoerner tips. Get lots of compliments on the strobes.

Here's a link, click it and enter "nice 150G"

Gregg,

To be brutally honest, those photos are not the best. You need better lighting, and I would include several close ups of the exterior plus the panel.

As a buyer I rarely wasted time unless I could at least see in some decent photos what was being offered.

Your plane may be fabulous but those pics on barnstormers aren't doing it justice.

Its the one thing as a buyer I really used for the intitial quick and dirty. The next best thing is to provide a link or advertise you will e-mail more. Then have good hi-res shots taken with a quality camera. I think you'll be surprised how much more action you'll get.

I have to concur. Without pics of the panel I wouldn't waste my time calling about a plane. cool
