Where can I find used sun visors for a 1978 c152 center post. Is there a place to look or does anyone have any for sale. I live in Yuma Arizona and need them badly.... I have the holes for them but no visors

I would think there are quite a few of these around from people who have upgraded to Rosen visors. Have you checked ebay?

We'll be happy to run a free wanted classified for you, just email classifieds@cessna150-152.com.

Better yet, why not buy the Rosens? While pricey, they are the cats meow, and you can see thru them too. Much better than having those old solid Cessna things down in your face.

One of my friends removed the visors from his 1966 150, if they'll work in your plane I can ask him if he wants to sell them.

There are three different mountings on Cessna sumvisors. One, mounts with the screws and brackets and pivots outboard, another mounts with the screws and brackets in the middle of the aircraft. and the third mounts with a bracket in the middle of the sumvisor

The middle of the visor mount was used on later aircraft (ie. mid '80's models) but may not have been used on 150's. Early 150's (pre-'70's models) have the outboard mounting, while (according to the IPC) '70's models have the center of the aircraft mount.

Its confusing so make sure you get or are ordering the correct item(s).

A couple of good and not overpriced salvagers: www.specialtyaircraft.com [specialtyaircraft.com] & www.discountaircraftsalvage.com. [discountaircraftsalvage.com.] I found brackets and sunvisors available from both for my C150D. Unfortunately I bought a pair of AFRC visors from a dealer for the brackets I found at Specialty and was very dissapointed in them. I had to modify them extensively myself to be able to use them without problems. Fortunately I am able to do that kind of thing.

Oops...I meant disappointed. Old guy pilot syndrome. Don't tell the FAA on me.

www.discountaircraftsalvage.com [discountaircraftsalvage.com] The other link doesn't work because of the period at the end. Try this on instead. Maybe someone should turn me in.
