After two months of adventure, a bunch of money for advertising, fielding 87 phone calls, replying to 53 emails, meeting some errrrr very interesting people and putting up with a lot of nonsense I sold the SportHawk this evening for my asking price in cash (and I do mean CASH) to a fellow from Big Spring (45 miles from Midland) who didn?t see any of the ads, fly the airplane or do a per purchase inspection.

Boy do I have some stories to tell you guys this summer at Clinton.

NO! Wayne!!! I wanted that sweet bird... too bad I was only $43.569.00 short!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Now, time to 'pimp' the WartHog. Consider a Peterson 260 or 230 SE conversion?? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Did he carry the cash in a hidden compartment in his vehicle? The Kansas Highway Patrol catch quite a few of them every year. They always have some other "funny stuff" hidden in their vehicles.

No one asked the usual question.....is it a club member or soon to become club member that you will coax to go to Clinton with your?

Anyway Wayne, as said before, mixed emotions. Very happy for you that you got her sold in an easy deal, very hard to imagine 150WW without you at the yoke.

Always a bit sad to see an "old friend" move away.

Thats good news Wayne! I'm both happy and sad for you, I had mixed emotions when I sold my Skyhawk, it was hard to sell an airplane that I had so much fun in.
Just out of curiosity, what does 45k in cash look like? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Depends really, In $100's, well 450 of them. A lot of counting on Waynes part, but nothing too hard. If in $10's or 20's, it can get a bit daunting.

If nickels or pennies, well...better get that 10 yard Dump truck ready cause that could be a pretty major task.

I have held as much as $250,000 cash in my hands back in the days when we delivered money from branch to branch from the trunk of our cars (no wonder I started packing at an early age). Tribe allotment check paydays required a bunch of $20's in our remote little branch once or twice a year.

Nowadays...it's all armored car.

I have to think here, I believe the most cash I've seen at once is $6500 when I bought a used motorcycle. That was one heck of a wad, I couldn't imagine one 7 times bigger!

Whoops...here we go again, this thread has officially went OFF COURSE! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />
I'm sorry for ruining your thread Wayne! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />
