I am throwing a question about logging time in an aircraft out to the forum. I have been flying a C182 (fixed gear, complex) with a friend (non-instructor). I do not have a hi-performance check out or a complex check out. The debate between my friend and I... Can I log the time as PIC? I tried to research the FARs but they are clear as mud. I couldn't even find information about the complex or high performance check-out. I don't think I can since I am not "type" rated. So lets here your opinions ...

Thanks

I believe you need a log book endorsement by a CFI to act as PIC for a complex or high performance aircraft.
