Well, I watched my airplane fly away today.

The day I watched John take 72G away was the only time I ever saw 72G in the air. Yea! kinda sad. But then Gary showed up on the horizon with Mr. Ed only a few hours later. That did not leave much time to grieve!

Well, I waited too long to get in contact with you Steve. I hope your new owner is very happy with it and gives it the care it needs. You seemed to be much more detailed and helpful than some other sellers. I'm curious where the airplane went to and if we will see it around. Have fun with your 172.

Michael,

You must be the buyer that he WANTED to sell it too. And we are the "sheepish" little group of people who said, "no deposit no commitment". Sorry about that, but hope you understand.

Welcome aboard, make sure you check the classifieds and good luck on finding a bird. At least now you have a source for potential buying buddies to help you find that perfect airplane.

The airplane is now based in Auburn, CA, about a 20 minute flight from here.

The new owner is also a new club member, and he's been browsing the forums for a few days. I'm sure he'll introduce himself when he feels comfortable.

Thanks again to everyone for all the advice and moral support. This club is a wonderful gathering place for pilots and owners.

By the way, I'm still going to hang out here... there's nothing like this out there for 172 owners, and the CPA forum is not nearly so friendly....

I hope you don't mind!

Hello there, I am the new owner of Steve's 150. My name is Ryan Zender, I'm almost 24 yrs old. I live in Rocklin, CA.

I learned to fly back in 2003 primarily in Piper Warriors. I've been telling myself I'd own an airplane one day; I never though i'd own a high wing! The price/cost of ownership is affordable and the visibility is by far better than any low wing.

I'm really enjoying this plane!

I'm probably going to lurk for a while and pop up with a ton of questions once I get used to this airplane and start tinkering with it.

Here's my Solo picture back in July 2003
