I'm looking to purchase/install a Camloc Conversion Kit. The price that I have found is $382.66 from buyplaneparts.com. Is this a good price/vendor? Anyone have experience that they would like to share about their conversion?

Thanks

I installed the Skybolt fasteners at my annual in Sept. Relatively speaking it was an easier installation than I originally thought. Most of the work was already done when the 150HP conversion was completed. The rear mounts on the cowl bolted right on. No drilling or template use required. My AI drilled and riveted the rest. The hardest part was the adjustments so it all lined up. So far I love them. Quick and easy to remove. Seems like every long X-country I was replacing missing fasteners before I installed them. Cost is about right. I purchased mine through Texas Aeroplastics. I received a follow-up call from Skybolt to give them TT and Serial number for the paperwork. He even said he would send additional fasteners if more were required due to the new cowl to cover the bigger engine. What they sent filled all the holes. Have your AI file a 337 and you are good to go.

I have Skybolts on my Cardinal and love them too. The companies customer service is second to none and I have had numerous phone and email conversations with them and they have been incredible to work with (getting missing paperwork cleaned up and replacement parts for a broken one).

I helped with the installation when I had my annual done last year and it was easier then expected. The most difficult was making sure the alignment was correct with the correct spacers on the actual cowl mounts on the firewall. What an ease to take off and on now and the stainless parts really look clean compared to the old screws rsuty headed locks before. Also the tools that came with the skybolt kit were awesome in the process.
