For Sale 1975 Cessna 150, $26K, 12,500 hours! WOW! That averages about one hour for every day since new. That's at least 6 or 7 major overhauls! How many tires, batteries, oil changes, and so on- I'll bet the cowling has been on and off a couple of thousand times.
You think it's worn out? Worth $26K?
Maybe everything has been changed except the airframe.
I'm watching this to see if it sells for the asking price...
I have about 8000 hrs to go to catch up with this one.

Brian,

My 150/150 has 14,000+ TTAF. The engine has only been on the plane since 2003 and has 2200 hours on it. It was used in pipeline patrol.

I would think, though, that a 12,500 hour 150 would be pretty beat up.

Thank goodness these are very tough airframes. Everything else can be replaced.

I like the way they photoshopped the in-flight photo. I might try doing that to put my 152 in formation flight with the blue angels.

For what its worth, mine is pushing 11,000 hours.

At least they could've blurred out the prop. As it is, it looks like the plane is in a dead-stick landing.

I'd be more interested in what he's hiding on the other side. A first glance, you think he got pictures of both sides...but the two pictures are the same, one has just been flipped. Easy to do, but no reason to do it unless the plane doesn't look very good from the pilot's side....
