Just found out N48823 is for sale, nice looking airplane, and only $15,900. This just might be the most infamous Cessna 152 ever, you might say it has a uniqe damage history.

Search the club gallery for N48823...

I've never actually used the club gallery and as I look to the left of the screen I don't see a link titled "club gallery." Can someone talk me through finding this reasorce?

Click on "Photos" on the left side of the screen. From there, select "Search by year and model". You now can also search by Reg#, although it's not on the option entries.

Kevin is probably doing what I do, going directly to www.cessna150-152club.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php [cessna150-152club.com] to get to this forum. When you bypass the clubs homepage, you don't get the frames associated with the homepage. First, Kevin needs to go to the Club's homepage

www.cessna150-152club.com [cessna150-152club.com]

and then access the photos section.

Of course the log in is different on the homepage, here you use your user ID and your member number for your password. On the club homepage, you use your member number for your ID and your password is your zipcode, unless you changed it. Go to the club notices forum and look back at the threads. Royson had a discussion about the homepage vs the forum and logins and such, some time back.

Found it. Interesting pic lol. In the article it says the incident wasn't official loged as an accident. I wonder if you call the owner and ask about the history of the aircraft whether they will mention the incident.

Both very nice looking aircraft. Very cool pic. I've got to wonder how exactly the planes landed safely. It says the pilot of the Cadet added full power, while I assume the CFI was attempting to land the plane. Just not enough details.

Maybe the Cadet pilot heard the CFI yelling on the CTAF frequency and figured out he should let the other guy land them.

Does anyone know of a complete telling of the story, that would be one heck of an interesting read?

For the offical story do a document search on the clubs web site for either plane and you will find the FAA version.
No NTSP report was needed as no one was hurt and no substantial damage done, they landed in the grass.

I bet BOTH airplanes had new seat covers put on them shortly after their "connection"!

Yeah really! I wonder if the pilot of the Piper got to log that landing?
